As a result of government health care reform that started in 2011, your health care benefits plan should cover preventive care visits with no out-of-pocket expense to you. Preventive exams and healthcare screenings with a physician are now 100 percent covered. Please check with your insurance provider.
Several services are covered and depending on your age, include, but are not limited to: well baby and child exams, annual physical, mammogram, colorectal screening, routine vaccinations, flu and pneumonia shots, blood pressure, diabetes type 1 or type 2 and cholesterol tests, counseling on quitting smoking, losing weight, healthy eating, treating depression and reducing alcohol use.

The new health care reform laws allow our physicians to provide yearly preventive services at no cost to all Medicare patients. The new coverage eliminates the need to pay a Part B deductible, and waives the 20 percent co-pay for selected services.
The following are some of the services that are covered under the new healthcare reform laws: colorectal cancer screening, diabetes type 1 or type 2 screening, mammogram, prostate cancer screening, and many more.
